CKN EXCLUSIVE:THOSE BEHIND THE NEGOTIATION FOR LEKAN SHONDE TO SURRENDER HIMSELF

Lekan Shonde left with Sunday Nwaobi yesterday

Without the assistance and genuine efforts of these two men,it would have been practically impossible for Mr Lekan Shonde ,the young man suspected to have  murdered his wife in Lagos to give himself up..Mr Sunday Chukwudi Nwaobi was the man that initiated the move to convince Mr Shonde to turn himself in.

He worked tireless despite all odds to make him see reasons on why he should come out of hiding.

It was Nwaobi that co-opted another friend of his Mr Gbenga Sholuki to join in the negotiation.

Both worked tirelessly even when the odds were against them.At a point, they almost  gave up ,but the need to give their common friend an opportunity to tell his own side of the story to the world was very overwhelming.

Gbenga Sholuki on his part ,was the liaison with the Security agency (RRS) led by ACP Taju Disu
Even till the end ,they vowed to do all within their power to assist him..It was Sunday Nwaobi who also contacted the Publisher of CKN News, Chris Kehinde Nwandu (CKN) to join the search and negotiation .

He believed with the involvement of a notable Journalist /blogger,it will make the job much easier and their genuine effort will not be misconstrued .It will also give some level of credibility so as not to be seen as accomplice to the facts.

Already, the two gentlemen have commenced the search to engage the services of lawyers to defend their friend in court .

Sunday Nwaobi,Gbenga Sholuki and CKN were the only people that accompanied Lekan Shonde to the office of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police yesterday when he was eventually handed over by the Commander,Rapid Response Squad ,ACP Tunji Disu

Sunday Nwaobi and Lekan attended the same Secondary School,Ikeja High School,GRA Ikeja Lagos in the 80s ,though he was a year ahead of him. But Lekan was in the same class with his younger brother.
Their efforts at resolving the matter should be commended.
